Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

Ruin Careers

Citi, has a pattern of hiring people, keeping them for a while, and then letting them go eventually. When you first come on board, you hear all the buzzwords—talk about the company culture, how things are changing, and how your voice will be heard. But the truth is, not much really changes. If you're an external hire, full of hope and big expectations, it's easy to get discouraged seeing the silos, hiding information and even access. The reality can be pretty different, and honestly, the management style can take a real toll on your mental health.
Meetings often run for hours with little to show for it, and discussions are frequently in Hindi or other Indian languages, making it difficult to follow. There is a clear divide between offshores and on-sites. Offshore leads often complaining and backstabbing US or Europe teams and US counterparts pushing entire load to offshore without proper inputs/clarity. He-l waits for any new comers.
You come with cheer and leave with fear and tear .

100% true. In fact they gang up against you and develop case to get you out. Characterless leadership and management style.
