Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Any fresh rumors on CEO search?

Been super silent in the press. Is it Lip-Bu Tan? Or Matt Murphy? Or a wild card? One of the new board members?

The board should have already had a short list of candidates before they got rid of pat.

Either they didn't think far enough ahead to have that list or
people on that list are turning them down and they are stuck.

or in a best case situation they have someone and are be keeping it quiet until results are announced.

or in the most likely scenario the venture capitalists are circling and Intel will be divided up.

its gotta get chopped up. no other path that is financially viable. will be sold to whomever is willing to take on the debt and maybe a few token $$'s. intel is effectively a worthless company at this pt. it has no leading edge products. it has no leading edge technology. so its worth the value of the physical assets, nothing more. probably about the same as the current debt load, thus its worthless.

No one outside wants this CEO job. They are going to give it to someone internal , which will be a major error. MJ does not have the chops or confidence to do the job. I do not even have to say anything about Dave, we know he had reached the Peter Principal years ago.

Ha get a clue

I beg to differ 65 is old as fu-k and the lifespan in America is going the opposite way and who on earth wants to fu--ing work and then die two days after or at their fu--ing desk give me a break. You must be an old fu---r.

@ce+... get a clue. 65 isn't old any more. People routinely live into their late 80s and 90s. In reality the retirement age should be raised to 75. It was set to 65 when people only lived into the early 70s. The man has a history of being able to turn tech companies around. Sound just like what Intel needs. The alternative will be to hire a young MBA to come in and dice up the company for sale and they will pocket the profits.

Sounds about right to get a 65-year-old man in here to try to turn the fu--ing company around. Give me a break.

There is no new CEO. Intel is being chopped up and sold to the highest bidder.
