write your congressman about that, especially in a democratic state. That may work.
This represents cuts from last year. Fun fact, Dell actually added 7000 new external hires last year as well, they didn't just cut jobs.
Yep. Lots of cheap new college grads, H1B, and overseas (India). It should be illegal to let go of employees who have been with the company forever just to hire a cheaper replacement. Make em pay 2 years severance like in Europe and they’d treat people better.
He-l, the party is just starting.
In 2024, Cutting US FTE, hiring more H1B, in 2025, continuing cutting US FTE, hiring from India instead.
This article looks like it's been generated by ChatGPT: no references, little specifics, too much fluff and repetition. No other reputable source has this info, so it's very likely just a clickbait spam. That's not to say there won't be further cuts. If anything, they'll likely wait until Feb. with mass layoffs to meet Q4 targets.

Anything with AI in the title makes me doubt it, they talk about a large drop in pc sales for Q4 but don’t state the year. Dells Q4 ends Feb 2025 and even if it refers to drop in sales of calendar quarter it is very early to have numbers so I’m doubtful this is recent, perhaps just refreshed/ updated to bring to top of search results
Article does not state when this happened; recent means a few months ago or happening right now. Anyone know?
