My group has just been moved from salary to hourly within the past week. Did this happen to anybody else? I don’t trust Crown at all, something smells a foot!

Hourly is better than salary in my opinion. Worked both sides and both have pros/cons. If you like OT, get some. If not, turn your phone off at 8 hours.
Crown was sued and CMs were made hourly years back. Don’t know the context, but can you tell us your position without giving up the ghost? lol
“So since this is all anonymous anyway, why not tell us your position”
What a d-mb comment. Why does it matter to you who this person is? You want their full name and social security number to?
So since this is all anonymous anyway, why not tell us your position.
They did this in site acquisition years ago. Was great when they would let us have overtime. Now it takes an act of congress to get OT approved. Makes it very easy to shutdown as soon as you put your 8 hours in.
Some years back they also did this with the paralegals. Because they weren’t being paid adequately for the hours they were putting in. Many times these types of changes come from legislation and job classifications. I have worked at many places in my career and as an hourly worker I never got a bonus. We were always told a bonus is in lieu of the overtime you lost when they moved you to salary. It actually hurts the company to move people to hourly.
Probably overpaid anyway
This will be the last year hourly employees get a bonus. Hard times ahead.
This is not a regional job, it is part of a group that supports the whole company.
Who is your group?! And what region are you in?
It happened to tower CM's 5 years ago, due to some joining a lawsuit over unpaid OT/on call issues.
How many people do you manage on your team?
What?!?! That’s ridiculous. Next could be moving to independent contractor status and no benefits.
