Tally the 5-Day RTO Failure

Count those who have quit in the last 3 months and those who will be quitting over the next 6 months. Search on LinkedIn for those Amazon employees. Their new role will very likely show Remote or Hybrid. That's a very easy way to find more reasonable workplaces to apply. Also check the reduced salary levels in the current Amazon job postings and count the number of those job postings and compare. There's no way that hiring new employees for less comp (than who departed) will work long-term. And nothing really to attract the new hires if it's lowered comp and 5-day RTO. Like a foreign sweatshop now.

Even if it was true that most jobs can be done by someone without an engineering degree, the Amazon comp/benefits wouldn't match alternative options and there would need to be sufficient experience in the first place.

Most jobs can be done by someone without an engineering degree. Won’t have a problem filling them.
