She was an incompetent leader, a very bad strategy decision to make that move and a big waste of time, money, and many careers lost because of wrong person promoted in the wrong seat. BM made that decision. How is the furniture overhaul going in HT? Didn’t know BM had a furniture sales background. That’s right she doesn’t. So best of luck.

Whatever happened to that joke of an AVP that was supposed to move from Canada to lead our US center? We don’t miss that trainwreck. How much did that cost the company to pay for the visa, the two years severance and the numbers of my friends that lost their jobs due to her ineptness. No one changes strategy that quickly unless the leader has failed in leading the new strategy. I miss the tenured experience of the leaders that have been let go. Not the ones that could talk the talk or kiss the …, but not walk the walk. Not the same here without the passion of those that built this once great company. I will take my paycheck while I continue to look for something better.

All I know is that Inside Sales in Canada performed at a much higher level than in the US. This went way back to leadership under MT. The glory days.

I ‘earned’ every nickel of my almost two years of severance based on my 19 years of dedication to that place. It has everything to do with labour laws. They didn’t mind paying me in Canadian dollars and saving a fortune during that time.

In the end, they did me a huge favour. Cha Ching!!!

Yeah gotta love the Canadian severance. Less tenured associates get two years compare to everyone in the US being capped at 5 months. Deplorable. No offense intended but the talent there or lack there of doesn’t justify the additional time.

I feel like they will be getting rid of any Canadian associates working on the Staples. Com side. Last hiring class was all US reps. I hope I'm right. I'll take Severance any day now

VPs will continue to hire people that job hop vs people that have been loyal. So many horrible hiring decisions that could have changed the course of this company for the better. Instead, they continue to hire people that stay in a job for 2 years then leave. They won’t build based on the team but on their own accomplishments then leave.
