Why they laid me off and not my worthless director who has only been with the company less than two years and has zero L and D skills is beyond me.

They wouldn’t have to prove damages. It would be breach of contract. If they haven’t paid you yet and can prove it’s you, they can simply refuse to pay. It would then be on you to sue them to perform according to the contract…which you broke
Why worry about non-disclosure contracts? They are a scare tactic. They have to sue you to enforce them, and possibly prove some sort of damages in court. That's a large amount of effort and a lot of hassle for any company. Don't be scared by it.
Sign the agreement (usually forced for you to collect your severance) then go get a haircut. Tell your hair dresser about your experience there. Hairdressers are intelligence hubs. They'll spread the news for you.
(This is not legal advice).
For those asking for package details, there’s a very good chance the packages include non-disclosure clauses.
Can you share details of the severance package?
Agreed, it's pointless conjecture. You're history, so take your severance and get moving on finding a new job. Don't worry about Citrix work at this point, it's no longer your problem.
Don't spend too much time trying to solve that question, spend you energy on why you are better than others and leverage that to find your new role. You'll land on your feet faster than you think. Good luck!
