A Christmas RIF

Teradata used to have a policy to not do a RIF during the Holidays. What are the odds they RIF in December this year?

Won't happen. We haven't had a large scale RIF for a long time.

Layoffs are for life, not just for Christmas.

It usually happens in Oct or Nov. I doubt we'll see a high number of layoffs. It's already a skeleton crew running each dept.

That’s absurd. Such a policy never existed.

What policy? Many, many good people were laid off between thanksgiving and the new year. You keep thinking the company cares about employees. They only care about the bottom line and the big guys’ bonuses.
