i want to be let go...

this is a ship running aground. i should have left last December
any tips on how I can be let go this wk?

OK.. maybe I was harsh. People who want to be let go don't want to just quit and give up the severance. It's a lot of money. I wouldn't advise "quit if you don't like it here." In normal circumstances, sure, but it's a pretty big financial decision to forego literally thousands of dollars. I don't blame anyone for wanting to wait. The problem is if you wait and you're one of the ones they decide to keep...

I take the poster was referring directly to me i.e., "STFU". Don't get me wrong over the years I've personally seen great talent either get laid off or walked out because leadership can't get their SH&*T together. I don't blame them, in fact, they're the victims. My rant below was in response to the ID10T stating "I want to be let go". Why linger, just leave if you don't like it! I'm not happy either, but I love what I do and do it well - hate my leadership but that's different I'll keep working until they shut off my office lights. What i'm saying is, does no one any good to complain about it - just do your job man.

I'm not special or immune to what's happening, but do you think the grass is greener on the other side? No. All tech companies are (or) will under the same cr-p - this is Tech today what you see happened to Citrix. it's unfortunate but true - this is not like it was 20yrs ago time and greed has elevated the stink in tech. Point is, don't complain just keep working until your number is called (if it does get called).

To the previous poster: STFU. Tell me - what do you say to the talented, hard-working employees who still got laid off? Were they also part of the problem?? No, people like YOU are the problem. What - you think you are somehow special and "deserve" to be here? LOL. Well, you'll find out eventually when the Cloud Software Group is broken apart and ceases to exist.
