Keeping the employees in suspense and not giving them information about the cuts, the company cannot achieve anything except for a significant drop in productivity.
Those who are in a dilemma whether to leave or stay for a while will rather choose the first option, and those who end up getting laid off will leave this place feeling bitter.
The company's reputation has certainly been tarnished a long time ago. The company is sinking whether they try to keep layoffs behind smoke and mirrors or not.

"Just keep working, do what you do, earn your paycheck"
There's no limit to this cowardly commentary. Find some self respect dude, and leave.
Here's what i'm saying, there's going to be collateral damage and the good will go down with the bad. Sucks but, that's life and we're no match for corporate greed and the tech sector is a breeding ground for such behavior. Just keep working, do what you do, earn your paycheck and always keep your resume polished until that dreadful Teams or Zoom invite reaches your inbox informing you "thanks but we gotta let you go". I'm sure the folks recently impacted weren't expecting it and they probably would've stayed longer but the truth is they didn't and here we are. Sucks, no more stock options and welcome private equity management.

Hey, as----e... a lot of hard-working, talented people got laid off, too. Were they leeches? Are you up TK's a-s so much that you think it's everyone's job to shut up and work and MAYBE we'll let you stay? Stupid fu-k.
There are multiple reasons why employers do not disclose exact plans for layoff timing or the number of employees impacted. Keeping the remaining employees in suspense instills compliance. CSG will be managed with a 'command and control' mindset.
As we've all seen from the prior posts on this site, many fearful employees chose to stay put regardless of how they were being treated. They do as they're told and follow directions. Krause wants you to be grateful that you've survived, in the hope you continue to comply with his demands to do more with fewer people on each team.
The PE owners hope that productivity will return once they're done cutting costs.
Citrix's reputation was tarnished from poor leadership. And CSG already has a bad reputation because its CEO is an as----e who treats people like cr-p. There - does that clear things up?
"The company's reputation has certainly been tarnished a long time ago." How? This company has only been around since October 1st. The fact you think this is Citrix and not CSG going it to you says a lot. Wake up smell the coffee!!
Yes, they announced it... they did say things would happen in November though.
The problem is not whether or not it's happening, we all knew it was gonna happen... It's just the suspense and everything around it, like OP mentioned.
Most teams have absolutely no work to do at least for the next month or two, because the higher ups are still "trying to figure out what technologies to keep"... Why continue working on projects you are working on, if all will go to waste anyways?
Bro I don't know how up front they could have been. They announced layoffs in the GEM, and in every department all hands. Are you not paying attention?
