I work for money. If you want loyalty, hire a dog…

It's a different world. There are no more pensions unless you are a gov drone and tax stealing leech. Only be loyal to the company if the leadership is loyal to you.

Krause is Hock Tan junior. No one should be surprised about these massive cuts. Ask anyone over at Broadcom and the companies they gutted. He will turn Citrix into either a private equity firm model (like Broadcom) or he'll gut and sell to Hock.

The only notable thing we learned today was just how many employees were stuck at Citrix because they were not qualified to land another job at a growing competitor

No, we did not find out the answer today...
We found out the answer during the layoffs a year ago...actually, during the restructuring before that...no, it might've been in the layoffs prior to that...or was it in the "targeted optimization" prior to that...or was it the other time "hard business decisions" had to be made...or was it in the 2006 layoffs...

I could have told you the answer: NEVER BE LOYAL. You do a job, they pay you, that's all. You like your job, great, but never forget that it's a business and you're an expense. It's not your family.
