Thread regarding Union Pacific Corp. layoffs

Pay is unsatisfactory

I accepted the offer here because at that moment I couldn't find anything better, and I desperately needed money. Considering how much UP is pushing its employees, the pay should be a lot higher. What miracle needs to happen so that start getting adequate paid?

are they going to install a catfish pond at north Platte for the conductors to have a recreation period during their lunch break? this could provide some much-needed sustenance.

Pay everyone more money or we strike.

There should be some penalties for delaying a contract for year's.
$1K yearly bonus is an insult especially when you offer $25K bonuses to new hires.
Cap on medical.
Cap on union dues.
Going to need at least a 30% bump in pay.
You cut the workforce by at least 30% and we've picked up the slack for 24% COMPOUNDED?
NO DEAL!!!

That would improve my "quality of life".

But we get 1k per year of the contract. 25k to hire on well… that’s ok right? Are we all living in the twilight zone to not see there is something terribly wrong with this picture?

Getting rid of the CEO would be a great start.
