Depends on the bottom line in the earnings report. Cuts can be huge to avoid a death spiral on stock price. If Intel cuts dividend or reports a loss stock is toast and cuts will be deep.
Some stupid is commenting how you save intel when you layoff 30k. This stupid has no idea that this company is basically not maintaining much tools etc. They have no proper manufacturing capabilities. They can actually fire 60% of workforce without any problem whatsoever.
How do you save Intel if you cut 30k workers. How does 30k less workers produce chips. How do they physically manufacturer the chips if they cut Technicians that keep the tools up to make the chips? How?
