Great hopes when Pat took over, but it's been pretty abysmal since.
- Implement OKRs, but tie it to compensation, which is specifically warned against and counter productive.
- Hasn't gotten rid of the 'insights' woke review methodology.
- Still focusing on hiring and promoting based on demographics rather than competence, and rewarding teams based on demographics.
- Still letting seasoned engineers get sucked up by competitors, and when challenged by it says "go apply somewhere else" if you want a raise.
- Still using 3% as the "successful" raise at focal, while inflation is through the roof. Then they give us all this stock which even in April was clear it would be worthless before it vested.
And they wonder why we can't execute on new technologies. But hey, at least we have a good ESG score, right? Surely that's more important than running a successful company.
