I know I won't be able to relax this weekend. I don't know if layoffs will spill over into the next week or not but since I don't trust management anymore - they have lied to us so many times and they do not deserve our trust - I'm leaving all options open. Which, as I said, will make for one miserable weekend.

Start updating your resumes and gathering a list of job applications. I'd even start applying. Even if you end up not getting cut and you want to stay with CDK, you can always turn those jobs down. But its nice to get ahead of it just in case
Just straight out ask your mgr where you landed on their forced ranking list. By now it's been done. Now, HR will use that list to make recommendations on who goes but it will give you an idea of your fate. Even your immediate mgr may not know if you are on the chopping block. But they have to turn in a forced ranking of their reports (their boss may have ranked them low as well). Always have a resume ready to control what you can.
Layoffs will continue as long as the numbers are not what they want them to be. Does not mean they will continue next week, but the reality is that they can happen at any time. Take the time to update your resume. Always best to find a job when you already have a job. The patern has been pretty consistent with layoffs as last time BM was here. Based on that, plus time of year it is, you could count on another adjustment at years end.

All I can say to remaining CDKers…. Best of luck. You have been cursed with a capitalist pigs,. no heart, no integrity and absolutely no concept of leadership.
Why lay-off so many essential people when you are profitable, no reason other than greed. If anyone has been around then they know karma will bite them sooner or later.
