Motivation - zero. How do you find the motivation to work in this kind of atmosphere?

I'm thinking of the lyrics from a Steve Miller song during the 1970s - "Go on, take the money and run" because this is like a Robin Hood situation. Steal from the Private Equity benefactor rich. They've not earned their wealth, so I don't care.
I do not work out of motivation, but merely cos I dont want to be sacked without redundancy package. In the meantime I look around for another job.
Until we come out the other side of this one way or another, just do the minimum requirements for your job and help out other people when you can. Anyone doing more than that is a class-A su---r who should probably be fired for lacking common sense and self-preservation instincts.
"There are departments that are still working well over 40 a week both in and out of the office.
If you're not doing this, you are the problem and should be fired, not laid off."
Classic corporate BS. You could get laid off, but until then, work your a-s off for us.
I'm getting paid six figures to do nearly nothing. I don't care, and neither do I care what they do. I've got enough saved up to pay the bills while I look for another job when the time comes. Krause has no power over me.
Ethical? As far as I am concerned, once Vista/Krause took over, ethics left the building. That's what corporations always want: "we can do anything WE want, but YOU have to obey the rules." Sorry, but no.

Sometimes getting paid to go down with the ship can be fun and a break from the usual grind. I spent half a year playing descent and doing fu-k all else for one failed company, it really was kind of nice.
Motivate yourself by polishing your resume.
look around what would be "next" for you, no matter if it's in 2 days or 2 years from now.
Wait, take care of yourself and family.
By doing nothing you might be surprised to be "kept" :-)
Yeah , I’m completely checked out. Barely do a thing, bare minimum measurable metrics, and still haven’t RTO. I’m assuming that someone will notice at some point.
I don't.
