Cosmetics and fragrances cross sales, is it only in neighborhood stores? It makes cosmetics neglected, because fragrances are easy and more commissions...

@1ggt. Wow! A true professional salesperson. You are spot on. Instead of whining like so many do on this site you have taken control of your success and your future. Keep it up.
Cosmetics is neglected because nobody wanted to work there for long time and new associates not interested even go to their counters and stay in fragrances. I am in beauty 20 years never seen like that. My question was is it a neighborhood store thing and will all the neighborhood stores be closed?
The Cosmetics and Fragrance counters always do better when they work together. I see this in several store locations when I do work as a vendor. Definitely one of my favorite areas in the stores and wish them nothing but success. I’ve known some of the District teams as well and have always gotten along great with them to support the business and how important their sales events are
Hi- Beauty person of 6 years now. Cross selling should be in every store, flagship to small neighborhood doors.
Servicing the customer is the #1 priority in beauty. Selling one fragrance is not going to take away cosmetic sales- and some doors fragrances are higher volume than cosmetics.
If you’re a good sales person you can walk through the whole aspect of the sale. I used to use “who are you shopping for, who else do you need to pick something up for and what are we grabbing you today”
Worked like a charm.
Welcome people to your counter and your business will bloom.
