Pension good. Have now been retired for 15 years longer than the 35 years I worked at Boeing.

No, I am a Boeing hater. Boeing mu---red people and decimated the best aerospace engineers and mechanics for executive profit.

Oh golly...Boeing is sensitive to people suggesting age discrimination. Boeing forces you to sign an agreement not to sue them for age discrimination in order to get your layoff package. There should be a class action law suit to right this wrong.

There was once a time when people would work 12 hours OT a day for many days to accomplish something critical and not even request to get paid for doing so. That was back when people were passionate about aerospace and deeply respected the company and their leadership. Them days are long gone. Working at Boeing these days is just another lousy job at another bent company with grossly overpaid inept leadership.

If not for the Pension and the great benefits I would have NEVER stayed at boeing in the first place as a career choice. First they took away the great benefits (around 2001) then the Pension (2015 for Us non-represented). I took the VLO in 2020 and walked away...actually make that ran away as fast as my feets could take me from this dumpster fire !!! I don't have a clue as to why anyone coming in now or over the past 15 years would want to work for this company other than insanity !!!!

VERY Stupid question. The PENSION !!!!!!!!!!!!! Now that pensions are gone there is absolutely no reason to work for boeing ever unless you love being underpaid, jacked around, and led by managers who couldn't get a job at mcdonald's as shift leads.

Boeing makes a great retirement center, you can come in and hang out with your buddies and collect a good paycheck.

I am a Boeing lifer because I have no tangible skills and can't get hired anywhere else so I need a union to protect me.

Not many lifers in engineering. Boeing’s been trying to lay off their olders engineers for a while. Or move them to a Legacy program without much activity, so they will get frustrated and retire.

No one views Boeing as a good company to work for long-term anymore. Everyone’s familiar with their playbook and the very widespread age discrimination they engage in.
