Thread regarding General Atomics layoffs

Did anyone regret going to another company?

Pay could be more generous, but I am satisfied with the benefits and work-life balance. For now, I am not thinking about leaving, but I am aware that I should leave if I want to boost my professional growth. I'm wondering what are the experiences of those who finally decided to leave for other companies. I'm sure that many are fine but there are probably those who regretted it too.

I miss GA bc every where else you are held to standards. At GA you don’t have to work or do anything and still get paid. People fall asleep, come to work late, go home early or miss work all together and nothing happens… it’s hard going into the real world… stay at GA where it’s safe and bottom line doesn’t matter! Sure pay isn’t the best when compared to a normal 40 hr work week but I promise you will never work 40 hrs at GA

Stay at GA. Leaving is a mistake. Most people that leave end up regretting it.

I left GA for another large defense company about a year ago and received a huge raise. My new job is super easy and very stable. I don't regret it at all, but I honestly do miss GA. I miss the work and the relationships I built there through the years. I would consider going back one day if it ever makes sense, but I honestly doubt I will because I have it so good now.

Big time regret for leaving. GA is a great organization and I plan on returning on day.
