Me again. I got a little more info through the grapevine. It sounds like they gave people advance notice as much as possible with some leaving at the end of the month and others sometime in feb. some teams got cut to barebones. Fingers crossed it’s as few people as possible and they get good severance and recommendations.
Can confirm that layoffs occurred, but there hasn’t been any company wide statement that I’ve seen. To my understanding many were blindsided by this. Many of us are finding out through the grapevine about these layoffs and don’t know the full extent of how many. It sounds like most were at Winston-Salem but at least a few people were laid off at subsidiaries too. They sent out several big emails about “staffing changes” recently as they shuffle the higher ups. Hopefully no more happen and they’re letting go as few as possible.
