I took a position there for a while and I quitted the job. It was so damn risky. There were too many incidents. Consequently, they are not so friendly and the company has no Union.
Stay away from the radio shop and the truck shop.
FMI pays a lot of money for the safety training every year but its employees always create mistakes. What is so wrong with this place? I will have to get off from this place soon. Those miners one day will bring me in a jeopardy.
There are issues it has never been taken care. Why is this place so negligent?
I never have a job there at Freeport but I heard that this company does not treat many workers well. The management and the environment at the work place is so terrible.
I know someone used to work at the Morenci mine. They said that the mine used to run by Phelps Dodge corp. PD had issues with its employees if they were not whites. I know that those PD are now FMI. History repeats itself. I think they have to live with it or leave it!
You will be saved if you keep your head down!
This company has a very terrible management. Do not work for this company.
I complained about the unsafe workplace and they retaliated me. Just imagine one day someone will be in a fatality due to their mishaps. Surely, it's already been happened many times there. Everyone knows but they always zip their mouths. The problem solving department is a joke. Those guys there just pretend to do their job. One thing you know those guys are not helping you. I am so happy that I have a new job, and I don't have to be working in that hostile environment any longer.
