Post any information about potential or actual Occidental Petroleum layoffs? Any chatter, news or rumors?

Probably not. They laid off/lost a lot of personnel the last few years. If anything they are hiring.
For your Business Insider article (this is legit, I promise):
Breaking: Oxy to be acquired by Pizza Hut in all cheese deal!
@3btb+1jVPNLvx
It’s all perspective. My bonus target is lower now than prior to the acquisition and my LTI grants have been significantly less than pre-Oxy. We’ll see what February brings…
No, some of these responses are just ridiculous.
Don't get too worked up about OP. The same post was made in a bunch of different company layoff forums.
@3ueg+1jVPNLvx - Sorry but you are really clueless. Oxy employees get great bonuses and LTI and LAPC is just Oxy now. The GOM is dominated by LAPC and there is no way that Oxy would let them go, plus the ones I have worked with are all very good, if not great employees. Stop stirring the pot and understand we are all Oxy now. If anyone gets laid off it needs to be the non-performers whether LOXY or LAPC, but that is the case all the time.
The company could not just focus on LAPC people. They would have to lay-off based on job function and/ or performance subject to tests for age, etc. Unless they sold off all of the GOM and then you might be at 75%.
This is supposed to be top secret but Oxy is going to lay off 75% of the LAPC personnel in January so they don’t have to pay bonuses or LTI now that CoC has expired. They are waiting for January since a number of people are retiring before end of year.
OPs probably does not work for Oxy otherwise they should know the answer to that question. Probably fishing for information. Lol
OP is about $20 too early. Ask again when WTI is at $45.
Forced mass-layoff is cheaper than VSP. After a lay-off when the economy picks up people will come looking for jobs even if they have to work at the office 5 days a week. By the way additional office days are coming in 2023. Many quality people will keep working even if they have to work 5 days a week in the office.
If you were an employee you would know where things stand.
If you work for Oxy you would know no rumors about layoff. Oxy will do VSP over having force mass layoff
@hfw+1jVPNLvx Contrarian company.
If oil prices go down Oxy will continue to hire because that makes the least amount of sense.
