November 2022 layoffs at Nanostring

95 employees were laid off in Q3 November 7th 2022 just after they told us in Q2 that there would not be layoffs, even if quarter three was worst case scenario.

More layoffs today Jan 24 globally.
They layed off a big bunch on December 22 then on October 23 and now a
good bunch too, 3rd of January 24, three months apart.
Poor high management decisions and loosing lawsuits patents infringements in USA and Europe, but self proclaimed grandiose
company. The remaining employees are being told to work extra hard to make up for the difference when they are already overloaded through all functions.

The constant assurance they were one of the last companies to perform layoffs was not reassuring. Especially considering the wave of November layoffs that followed in biotech.

We adopted poor go-to-market strategy and underestimated the competition. Commercial leadership team should be held accountable instead of field teams
