Jeff Bezos cares too much about people to disrupt lives with layoffs.
If they got rid of 2/3 of the managers they could save a TON of money without losing any productivity. Get rid of these L6 and L7 managers who don’t add any value.
Only because you said "chime in," I hope it's to the Amazon Chime team. Useless app, would be more frugal to just use Slack everywhere. My team is stupid and still uses Chime 🤦♂️
Software is no longer an elite profession -- many are finding the rug pulled under from them just like other professions in years gone by were offshored to foreign sweatshops.
I hope they get rid of the worthless senior manager in the Denver Colorado area.
