Maybe a introductory course on how to run a company. They should have had a few HAL & SLB executives sit in and let them know how to make money

Useless managers always get other jobs, it’s like a big merry go round everyone moves round one place and starts again.

The union will shut this place down. Not a problem if you possess skills, but if you are management you are screwed.

The union makes their money from the fees you pay - thank you very much. Whether you get anything out of membership is not their concern buddy. Wake up!

Ah! Someone has popped their head out of $c@mmi$ pocket, yes sticking together will be beneficial to everyone. It prevented a worse outcome when they tried to steal 20% off our salary, and if the two sites had been as one the outcome could have been better. It’s not the union that helps us, we help ourselves with their guidance and advice. Going forward would it not be better to have someone knowledgeable and experienced to negotiate on our behalf collectively?

If you look at the jobs advertised the cut in shifts is being advertised as “ A contemporary work/life balance policy”, and also Working flexible hours - flexing the times when you work in the day to help you fit everything in and work when you are the most productive. Not a wage cut then! These people are something else.

Heard it was about the union asking for recognition, which seems to be worrying them. To all the guys who didn’t join first time round, maybe give joining a bit of thought. We’ve all seen our payslips now and how the changes affect us financially, and the take it or leave it low pay increase. Also we have a loose cannon in charge, who knows what he will try next time, and there will be a next time. Look at Newcastle they all stood together and got what they were asking for, we can be the same. The boy is just making up his own rules on everything at the moment targeting different groups one at a time. A united front can prevent this.
