Quick question - Why do the majority here think that Resideo is not able to develop new products? Sometimes I get the impression that some despise this company so much that they want it to fail.

I can be a really good follower if there were only one or two people who had some sort of vision or a clue. The people running things are truly uninspiring.
Rezi is an anti American corporation which doesn’t believe in good products
Simple as that
Rezi is probably a money laundering scheme…. Stinks to high heaven….
Money flows without any innovation nor strategy… can only mean it’s a front but for what.
Unless they are all living off ADI….
All “leadership” we had were incompetent to even see the main issues were due to poor current management -director level especially in software and PMO
No use developing a product when software is all about BS
Like place where money gets cleaned, think mafia Italian restaurants etc… where fake sales are used to clean fraudulent income, we are always making a sale even if the product is 10 years old!
Meanwhile in software we keep doing white elephants projects galore… and overpaid directors who should be supervisors level only
Ummm, what new successful products have there been in the last few years other than retreads of existing products?
I don’t think anyone wants it to fail… it has failed already… and for many years despite executives lining up their pockets
I assume this is because Resideo has not delivered any significant new products.
Few examples, GRIP, DAS were started in 2015 and quicksilver is barely ready. The same comment could be done on the thermostat side ... honeybadger, storm, ... name your favorite succesful project, without speaking of thermal calibration and parts quality issues in several of those great new products. A bit more could be said on titan that was supposed to replace all back-end fragmentation... and is still a very limited solution.
