This is a sweatshop. They expect me to give my best. Earlier on, I might have felt some pangs of conscience if I was doing a sloppy job, but now I don't regret it in the least.
In fact, I am more dedicated to looking for a new job than putting effort into a company that doesn't appreciate it at all...

I am guessing that this isn't really something new. Spending more time on stuff other than work is probably the reason that companies such as Amazon need to cutback headcount
