Boeing to break up Phantom Works

Boeing Defense, Space and Security announced that it will restructure its
Defense unit following substantial losses incurred by the company because
of multiple stalled projects due to a staggering lack of talent
and inept management across the board

Vertical Lift appears to be the only old division to remain intact.
The remaining units will be reshaped into Mobility, Surveillance & Bo----s
(responsible for bo----s, refueling, surveillance, and some other civilian aircraft
conversions such as the VC-25B presidential jet);
Air Dominance (responsible for fighter jets, trainers and drones) and Space,
Intelligence & We-pon Systems (responsible for all space-related systems,
missiles and munitions, and undersea developments).

Following the disclosure of the company’s H1 2022 results, defense was named
as one of the main reasons for the --- $1 billion loss ---,
along with the troubled 787 program.

High ups have been pedaling technology secrets to China for years. It's all personal wealth accumulation don't ya know.

From the executive leaks and Forbes report, we know Boeing has been implementing a going out of business plan. So no surprise here.

Just trying to illuminate a bunch of unnecessary management positions to cut costs. They have absurd levels of management that should have done years ago.

When you are desperate to liquidate, you sell pieces of the pie.
But First you must cut up the pie,
then package it pleasingly for market

slowly and quietly they will disperse the wreckage of the ship
they grounded upon the reef of incompetence.

Lots of effort by Boeing and Wallstreet to jackup stock price but that's pretty much all that's left. Sad.

The big breakup and bankruptcy isn't far off now. Suspect this latest news is just a camouflaged way to send more executives off with huge severance packages. There is also a mass exodus of employees that still have pension benefits and need to protect them before the bankruptcy prevents that. Very little work gets done at Boeing these days and certainly no R&D like Skunkworks did in past decades.

Great maybe they can offload that program to India 🇮🇳 or China 🇨🇳
