Thread regarding Teradata Corp. layoffs

What is the board doing these days?

Other than just sitting around and just vesting their options, doesn’t look like they care about happenings in TDC.

SM’s presentations to the board every quarter starts off with an excuse, in the following order (and justify the fumbling in the earnings call)

  • I am new here
  • it’s the pandemic
  • the great resignation
  • Russia Ukraine conflict
  • unfavorable forex
  • recession
  • the great layoffs

Didn’t board fire the a CEO for lack of execution?
Board is to blame for lack of oversight on SM’s performance. May be the board should do what Disney did today and bring back one of our old CEOs..

VL
OR
MK
MH (oh wait, he is dead)
BN

Rumor has it that OR was fired for a fling with an employee and company didn’t want to get into legal issues later.

I think this is a thing with Teradata CEOs. BN was fired.
MH went away on his own and did something bad later( probably learnt from his job as TDC ceo, lol)

He spent too much time on Twitter, telling Musk that both his Teslas were cr-p.

Anyone know the real reason OR got fired? It clearly wasn't due to lack of execution otherwise SM would have gotten the boot long ago.

The board is busy flying on their private jets to go golfing on their private islands and drinking martinis on their private boats

A previous CEO who (checks notes, clears throat) had more layoffs, ignored cloud, increased prices, or micromanaged every piece of work. How short are our memories
