I was affected by the recent tech layoff. I noticed that Ruckus has some job openings. How are things there now? I am eager to find a job, but I don’t want to go through another layoff.

I’m a current Ruckus employee. Here is my perspective….
Everyone on this thread here is right, the culture has changed. We’re in a weird transition phase as we trying to integrate Commscope.
Ruckus is very conservative. We had huge a layoff earlier this year prior to the mass layoff in the tech industry. I’m not saying we’re completely safe from additional layoffs but we’re definitely more prepared for this recession than other tech companies.
If you are looking for a harbor, then yes. But don’t make yourself too comfortable here.
Ruckus never over hired during the pandemic. Admittedly, a lot of key employees did leave during the pandemic which definitely changed the dynamics of our organization but I think Ruckus should be relatively stable.
I am a former Brocade/Ruckus employee. I left a little over two years ago by choice. When I left, Ruckus had already lost a lot of the corporate culture and institutional memory that made it great. Since the time I left, a number of other key employees have left. Bart, the current Ruckus GM, is a good guy and very smart; however, he is probably handcuffed by what he has to work with not least of which is the oversight by Commscope. If you're really desperate for a job, you could do far worse than Ruckus. If you're looking for something that has a better probability of a good long term future, Ruckus is not the place to go. One final note, unless it has changed recently, the salaries we're no longer competitive and the CommScope benefits suck.
