what top 10? all so called top 10 where Indians come for MS is a SCAM, 90% who do MS from "top 10" are technically inferior than regular BS from here. MS program in "top 10" is platform to come to US and nothing else.. truth is bitter

No need to humble brag about you being rich enough to not be living pay check to pay check - enough to where a lay off doesn't bother you. Just because it doesn't scare you, doesn't mean its the same situation for others.
At the end of the day it sucks no matter how much.
Everyone encounters issues when layoffs happen - immigrants or citizens. Hopefully people have savings and can get through the storm.
Immigrant here, the way immigration system is working( no permanent residence after spending 12 years here and MS from top 10), we are more worried about uprooting our lives and moving the families with children( US Citizen) to third world country at the drop of a hat. Heck we can drive Uber or do grocery runs, only if we had assurance to settle down!
Almost everyone in America lives paycheck to paycheck… and this is why everyone is scared of loosing h th over job
