Remember these on your next interview at Amazon in two years:
Customer Obsession - layoff employees so that customers will have to hire expensive new employees to do Amazon's work
Ownership - overhire then layoff, then BLAME "macro economy"
Invent and Simplify - write BS narratives, simplify to 3-6 pages, pretend like you did something
Are Right, A Lot - yeah, I can see that! Use better grammar next time, Jeff.
Learn and Be Curious - learn from Google, Netflix, Meta mistakes, repeat them
Hire and Develop the Best - yeah, I can see that! they're now leaving!!
Insist on the Highest Standards- yeah, I can see that! High salary if you can stay longer than 4 months.
Think Big - only 10000 layoffs? not 250000?
Bias for Action - yeah, I can see that!! Lots of action!!!
Frugality - overhire, overspend because you're so BIG and NOT economically insulated
Earn Trust - don't tell anyone about layoffs until days later
Dive Deep - look at all of the unprofitable orgs, figure out who to PIP/layoff/manage out
Have Backbone; Disagree and Commit - walk back on your over hiring strategy
Deliver Results - do those hiring freezes, and layoffs!! more through 2023!!
Strive to be Earth's Best Employer - yeah, I can see that! But you can't hire anyone anymore, can you?
Success and Scale Bring Broad Responsibility - yeah, cause now you're f*cked
