Just got off a a meeting with GF executives (Ivers and clark included) and ON Semi executives. massive layoffs at FAB10 come 1Q23. Due to the purchase agreement and NYS incentives, they need to hire the employees first in January and then notify of layoffs.

You wonder about the motivation and mental state of people who come here to spread obvious lies.
Whereas the Marvell deal was clearly IP motivated, Onsemi needs fab capacity. They've had 3 years to figure out who they want to keep. Their conclusions which are public knowledge are that the agreement didn't cover enough people and that they don't want government foundry business interfering with their product. Unlike some other companies they aren't fixated on literal peanuts as they have a market leading position to build on and maintain.
It may be nonsense but it is exactly what they did to the GF ASIC company sold to MRVL. Does anyone remember? Massive layoff by MRVL of GF staff once they had all the design wins in their pocket. Offshore everything else. Sell the part then let someone else do the dirty work. Cheaper too for Onsemi.
You need to stop spouting utter nonsense. Wrong people involved, wrong information.
Clark had resigned a month ago .. so not sure why you say she was in the call
Just got off “a a” meeting with executives huh? Stop posting nonsense. You would never be in a room with any executives unless you are a janitor. Which I’m guessing would be a step up.
