As far as I’m aware, aren’t we all at-will employees? Those that have backgrounds in semiconductors- there’s other companies to work for worldwide. Those who mayve even spent the last 10 years in semi- most likely have educational backgrounds in some form of engineering. My advice is that if you’re one of those hard working and intelligent educated individuals, make a personal pivot into an industry that’s not as volatile but needs your intellect and morality.
SC industry will probably always have bo-m and bust cycles, and much like the horse racing, ppl with money like to make money on the game.
If you’re an employee of any company in SC, look at how YOU could possibly be seen in any industry you’re interested in or drawn to.
Reliable hard working employees who foster team work and problem solving are always in demand.
Please look upon yourselves kindly and wisely and live life for yourself and your family if you have one.
Life is too short to waste venting grievances on a chat board read at least partially for entertainment purposes- and probably provides free public relations insights to help those in power better manipulate those willing to work for pennies on the dollar of what their cohesive intelligence and work churns out for those that had the power to purchase high fixed cost equipment and had the business savvy to make it all profitable- for them and their friends/ those who cooperate with their mentality and values.
At the end of the day we all make our choices.
