Each reorg is worse than the previous one. Almost every day I ask myself if our leadership even knows what it is doing?

They know what they're doing, they're milking the cow, preparing their golden parachute.
There is no talent left at the company. Useless folks that delivered nothing over last 20 years. CHOP THE DEAD WOOD SM!
They don't what they're doing, hence the frequent layoffs and reorgs.
Desperate times call for desperate measures. They're just too desperate to show that they're acting and save their jobs. In reality, they hurt some brilliant people last week who gave a lot to Teradata and did'nt have to be laid off. Their talent could have been used smartly. But they don't know how to do that. It's sheer incompetence. We did not over hire. Those comanies are in a different boat. We could't even retain the best who left on their own. The leadership, especially the ones nearing retirement, can't risk their jobs, because no one outside wants them. Horribly poor way to lead an organization. Shocking that they are in such positions. And they are all "accountable" for it. They won't sleep peacefully.
