Layoffs happened in IT (TPX) on Wednesday Nov 16th, I was one of the folks laid of so i can confirm that. That and the amount of folks choosing Voluntary retirement was equal to 2% of the TPX workforce according to senior management.

The long term vision is to unload nbcuniversal and focus on telecom, a la AT&T and warner bros. be prepared.
yeah we got reorg and voluntary buyouts hitting my department. no layoffs though (yet)
