Let's be kind and use Kmart, movie drive-in, Kodak, typewriters, VHS, etc.to highlight. DeLorean might be a good example of major technology lead that amount to nothing.

so why meta(aka the facebook) earned so much money in the past?

are you suggesting that facebook couldn't lose another 70% on top of the 70% they've already lost just because they've made money in the past? lol literally every company that has ever gone out of business had at some point made money in the past.

facebook is irrelevant. just as blockbuster, sears, and toys r us all became irrelevant before going out of business.
