I have to ask, what do you consider is or would be a fair severance package during layoffs? One month's salary per year of service? Two to three weeks' salary per year of service? Do you think health insurance should be included for a month or longer? I'm just trying to see if what is being offered is accepted as fair.

Six months. I'd walk away happy.
IBM gives 3 months' severance across the board.
