amazon is going to layoff 10,000 works.. now this should wake you up from your macys kool aid stand.. amazon is no1 and if they are failing so will macys..

My store hired too many people and now they’re saying there isn’t a lot of hours and they are cutting peoples hours. So I feel like yes there will be cuts come January. Also, it isn’t as busy as it was last year during this time.
Retailers and businesses already knows that a recession is coming soon ( year 2023 ) so Amazon is getting prepare by laying off so many workers. So Macy's and other retailers will follow the same path too. It's just a matter of time ⏳
Wait...according to this website; Macys, Walmart,Lowes, Sams Club are all going under and soon!
Inflation is at all time high. Customers aren't buying, Macy's is stock up with a lot of merchandise and toys. Alot of retailers are struggling too.

if you think shoppers are coming back to malls you are completely out of touch with reality
@ziw. They're not coming back in droves in our Macy's or mall. Many that do come in are just lookers.
Amazon is an online retailer with no store fronts of course it is laying people off as consumers get back to malls and physical shopping.
The Omni business is not generating the sales it has the last two years because consumers are going back to physical stores in droves.
Stores are not staffed and not prepared to handle the business that has suddenly come back.
Companies have invested in the omini side of the business while physical stores have been neglected. You are seeing the repressions of those decision play out in real time.
