There were more cuts and "retirements" announced today in the HQ HR space. While it's sad to see, I don't believe these cuts are anywhere close to what is going on at other tech companies. Comcast has always been conservative with its compensation and I believe that behavior will translate to relative stability for workers during this downturn. I'm sure this sounds like bs to those affected...

Layoffs had happened before that kept under the WARN threshold, so it’s possible the one the OP referred to happened.

Annnnd still waiting for any announcement of an actual “layoff” from somebody who has actually been through real layoffs which are public information and logged through a WARN notification. Some TROLLS up in here, reorg and retirement packages are not layoffs folks.

Early package does not equal a layoff, zero actual layoffs have been announced, it is public information and nothing has been filed. Doing packages is the company actually trying to AVOID layoffs.
