Thread regarding Amazon.com layoffs

Should I be concerned about this hiring practice by Amazon or is it business as usual?

In the middle of October, my recruiter extended an offer to me with a start date in January, and I immediately emailed my acceptance of the position. Because my start date has been pushed back, I was informed that the background check will be completed 60 days before my start date, and that the link to my documents would be sent to me 21 days before my start date.

I received my background check today.

The onboarding team has not emailed me yet. I have not received any emails from them. Because of the layoffs and other factors, I'm worried that I won't be able to access MyDocs.

Should I be concerned about this hiring practice by Amazon or is it business as usual?

Why would you not worry? Do you think you are better than those 10000 to be laid off?

Just be patient, it'll turn out to be OK - they are slow

Honestly they are slow and overwhelmed. Give them a bit time and I think all will be fine.
