Thread regarding Twitter layoffs

Work from home demands...from those laid off

Remember about a month ago when people were saying they would rather quit than return to office. Interested in seeing how they feel now? Lazy Gen Z did not know how good they had it. Now its all taken away and they do not know how the carpet was pulled out from under them. You had luxury buses taking you to work where you had a fully catered meal. But that was not good enough. Well hope you have enjoy your free time now. The job market is now is now in favor of employers. We can now pick the best of the best and offer less perks. Sorry no participation awards will be given out today. And don't believe your mom, you are not special. Welcome to the real world.

You all know that gen this and gen that are just made up BS to sell magazines and newspapers?

There's no such things.

I would be one of the last 'boomers' and I see no difference in any of the 'gens' I've worked with.

There are good employees and slackers in every fake 'gen'.

You all also know the OP is a troll who has too much time on his/her/they hands.

Some people have low self esteme and like to get other people riled up to feel better about themselves.

Worked 35 years in the IT industry for a few Fortune 500 firms in the Bay Area. Regular layoffs and subsequent hiring were constantly occurring in parallel for these organizations to survive changing tech and super-aggressive competition. Big firms eventually become over-managed/overstaffed and unproductive, and need a no-nonsense forceful team (not empty MBA suits) to restore profitability. EM will be successful.

The amount of climate change caused by driving into the office is staggering. I used to like Elon until this no remote work policy. Many people already moved to Florida and luxury towns like Seaside Oregon.

Have no worries those laid off will be fine. Luckily they were all smart with their money and invested heavily in FTX.

Lol. The person that was making +200k might have to accept a job offering only +150k. How ever will they continue to pay for their Starbucks & avocado toast loans?

OP is good Boer. A real linch-pin to the operation.
But it's also a goner in the next round.
Too many words. Bad sign. Bad employee.

As a Gen X, I see Millennials, GenZ and generally those under 40 and feel pretty good about our future. I don't know why everyone craps on them.

Probably just old Boomers, jealous of the youth they no longer have.
