Is thermo fisher going out of business
It’s funny how employees back stab each other during layoffs
Thermo fisher tewksbury ma was going to be a casino before thermo bought property if it does go out at least hope gambling industry will be interested employ the laid off workers valets maintenance ect
How many layoffs at the Tewksbury ma facility does anyone know
I just read thermo fisher cutting 450 million budget will there be layoffs like 2020 655 employees layoff any info predicting recession 2023 is this the start of it
This is typical thermo panic mode lay off. Just mind you i worked at thermo for a long time and i am so happy i left the company. You ha e to wonder what management is thinking of. Buidling new building left and right, hiring more perm employees. Once the number dips thermo goes into crisis mode and start laying off really good ppl. Or they give them a retirement plan to make it look nice. Be warn working for thermo. Just remember when you sign your autograph on the hiring paper in the fine print it does state that Thermo has the right to fire you for any reason. My exboss always reminded me to keep updating my resume every 6months. Tells you how bad it is and i was there for over 15+yrs and decided it was time to leave.
~800 layoffs just in Cali since 11/2022 per WARN site ... other threads showing NC, FL, PA, NY, NJ all have similar situation ..... probably about ~1200+ by now and more to ocme ... town hall this week and no mention of these
Massive layoffs in December 22 and again in February for LPD sites in NC and OH. Everyone was impacted, including some of the best team leads at the entire site. Meanwhile incompetent leads get to keep their jobs. Absolute insanity how they chose who got laid off and who got to stay.
Anyone know of any layoffs coming to Richmond sites?
Millersburg, pa letting people go. 2 rounds so far. They said a 3rd will be coming. We are all scared. We like it here.
Layoffs in IES service innovations on Friday March 03 -2023
Layoffs at the grand island location also in Nov 35 and last week another 6 with 18 really on the list. Advised in BCD cell culture TFS was already down 75million in Q1. Mind you both NOV and Feb layoffs were done mid qrt. Don't be surprised if it happens again in May which would be mid Q4. Thing is no manufacturing, warehouse or CEO has been let go. They are letting gone scientists, planners, quality, engineers at least at Grand Island that's the trend
It's closer to 315 employees were let go last week at the Logan facility.
About 90 people were let go in Logan, Utah. It seems that they were selected at random up to and including team leads.
What this company does hire temps when things go sour layoff temps no report of thermo laying off then they layoff permanent people one that don’t suck up to management the reputation of thermo fisher is getting around
I was hired the beginning of this year...😬 this has me kind of spooked now.
Got the news last week my role and team is getting eliminated. Sounds like a lot of cuts had to be done within SDG at least. Stupid thing at least in my division they were hiring like crazy..and now 1 year later laying ppl off. Pathetic.
Massive layoffs in tech sector 2023 that’s going to effect everyone including thermo and consumer price’s keep rising good luck I use to work there I thank god I got lauded off doing great now
Total 95 layoffs based on California Warn notice filing in SF bay area and 10 more at San Diego and Carlsbad. mostly in the Genetic sciences division.
Just went through mass sl------r in the Bay Area, they are so tight-lipped about who and where that we have no sense of how the other divisions are faring. But of course same projects, same timelines, 25% fewer people, microscopic annual raises, what's not to love?
More to come. A return to work mandate with a one week notice to go back to the office 5 days a weeks is a strategy to force attrition. A 50 hour work week was a light load, say hello to 70 hour work weeks.
around 60 people were laid off last week in the San Francisco bay area location.
Many departments were effected this week. Management doesn’t want to give out numbers to respect privacy. Said this is ongoing based on business changes there can be more layoffs
Ohio site is is taking names for voluntary layoffs December 1st. then shutting the plant down for two weeks at the end of December with employees being forced to take no point no pay
Any idea what departments and how many people are affected?
Sounds like these layoffs are company wide.
There was a RIF in August, and again today in November. I'd expect the next on to be in February, just before the bonus.
They laid off many employees today.
We are having layoffs at Thermo Fisher right now. They only give 1-2% per year for annual salary increase and overwork you with 50+ hrs a week, but they still want to reduce costs through layoffs.
A friend of mine was notified today, he is based in North San Diego location, so sad for those families.
