Thread regarding Teradata Corp. layoffs

2022 Engg ELT is the worst in history of the company

DS, HA, and the rings below them - Directionless, indiscriminate layoffs, constant org changes, how bad can they get?
The ones laid off in the last round were extremely smart - it's clear that TD doesn't want the smart ones.
The mood in the company is the lowest ever. Everyone wants to get out of here. Soon. Too much of FUD. I can't concentrate on work anymore. Engineers in TD are paid sh-t anyways.

None of the engineering leaders are even engineers. They're either product managers or consultants.

Two new VPs we're announces by HA as the company was getting ready for layoffs.

Hiring a VP just for pricing moments before the big tech layoff speaks volumes about the direction of the ELT.

And now re-orgs posts the layoffs without any sense or vision, looks like more misteps after misstep.

Teradata is in shambles because of the ELT who still believe Teradata is a premium software and think like Apple products.. and the worst pat is they dont want to do anything different or try something new but always keep refining what they have... wake up stupid ELT ... If you atill are thinking "we will do what we are good at" then you have ordered your coffin... wake up ELT .. what athe he-l are you going to do when someone eles does wha you are doing at a cheaper price? realise this "you can no longer afford to be a premium product" concentrate on medium and small companies going forward...
