New Management - Big Changes

So we have some new leadership at Tower Health with a new COO and new CEO of Provider Enterprises. I was told from senior management last week that some major changes are coming. Providers will definitely need to be more productive, access will need to open up (later hours, weekend availability, etc), and corporate structure will need to be lessened. Not exactly sure what the corporate structure entails but with all the deadweight in the organization hopefully a few of these “Vice Presidents” in the Medical Group will be eliminated. I have dealt with two AVPs that think they are better then everyone, co--y, and were favorites of the departing COO of the medical group. Hopefully the new CEO of the Provider Enterprises will shake things up with the structure of he medical group and not just keep the status quo. That is what has gotten us into this big mess.

Overall, I’m sure some more downsizing is coming but not at the expense of providers (minus the unproductive ones). This organization is under so much debt I’m sure the inevitable is coming within the next 12-18 months. If new management reads any of this, please do some major restructuring with the medical group. We have the blind leading the blind especially with these so called AVPs that were just given this title.
