You have been on the Florida Marlins for too long. Go find a winning team, it is not healthy to work in such a losing, toxic environment. AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, Starburst and many other modern, cloud native companies are hiring. In a few months you will be in a much better position. You should feel sorry for the people who did not get cut.

Shrinking revenue while all competitors are growing. Teradata has been on the decline the past 7 years. If you did not get RIFed you should resign. Dead end career there.
Including Teradata in a sentence with AWS is insane. AWS is over $70B and Teradata can;'t even break $2B. AWS grew this big in only 15 years, while Teradata sat on the sidelines and denied Cloud. Snowflake will pass Teradata in total revenue in the next twelve months. Game over.
Get ready buddy because AWS layoffs are coming
Just AWS, not Amazon, can eat Teradata everyday for lunch, breakfast AND dinner. Thats how big they are. Even a few BUs there are bigger than TD.
No comparison. TD sucks.
The problem at AWS are in their retail division. Cloud infrastructure is still going strong.
No not all all that — just wonder how stable it seems there (not compared to here or the competitors). Given Amazon overall looks rocky the last month financially I am genuinely curious if that seems like it will/can impact AWS. Or if they are a protected independent island, given their strength in their market.
Are you seriously asking if I feel more secure at AWS vs. Teradata? Which company has laid off employees the past 5years? Which company is growing? Which company led the cloud revolution? Which company is winning new customers ever day? Which company is more diversified?
How stable do you feel at AWS right now with Amazon’s stock/rev tanking overall?
Does AWS seem protected from the performance of the wider Amazon ecosystem?
Break out the champagne since they just gave you the opportunity to find a good company. Once you land at a good company you will be so glad. I left Teradata and went to AWS a year ago and it’s so much better. I actually respect our senior executives and we are growing. So happy to be out of Teradata. You will be too.
