just saying - it's not all that bad. it's a generous severance package. 16 weeks after the 2 months on payroll adds up to six months. good luck

$200k base is still a lot of dough!
If someone makes $400k/year and still does not have a stash to lean time, it is on him/herself.
Someone making 400K will probably have only 200K as base. In that case a 4 month severance is roughly 2 months of effective comp. Higher comp people are disproportionately affected by base salary calculations.
