Thread regarding Salesforce.com Inc. layoffs

Minimal severance

I’ve heard from colleagues affected that severance was only 8 weeks. Very different from 2020 layoffs. They had been here for 4+ years. All on base not ote.

Aside from legal obligations, 2020 severance was in the midst of COVID and lockdowns tied to it, so they were "generous". Can't see the generosity extending that far in 2022.

I was impacted by the cuts on Monday. I will update here once I get word on the severance. Still waiting...

2 months is what i heard. Though i think the Salesforce minimum is 9 weeks + 2 weeks per year of employment. So the "2 months" i have heard is very low.

Heard from a colleague going through it. People were informed verbally on Monday. Cut off from systems Monday. But they have still had no official communication. Severance is rumored at 2 months but no confirmation on that either. Other than the verbal, they’ve been told nothing. It’s being cited as performance based but many impacted were relatively strong performers.

Can anyone who's been through this round of layoffs speak to the severance package? Have they even discussed that yet??
