This is such a useless statement, like saying the sky is blue. Obviously the leadeship in ANY company will be praised it a big bet pays off. Duh.
The trouble is that we are talking about MZ's so-called metaverse here. How may bazillion users on FB? How many of them are moms, or office employees? Do you honestly believe all those folks (needed to hit the number of users MZ is dreaming about) are going to strap on headsets for hours and hours every day?
It just isn't going to happen. Period.
Will "it Zucks" become a common expression?
I bet you if Metaverse lifts off like a rocket, then everyone will praise Zucker. People praise others when things are going their way (especially when they are making money from the stocks) and have so many negative things to say when it's not going their way. Well, it's just not Facebook, all other techs are also getting hit hard. Look at Apple, it's not doing so hot either, but Tim Cook knows how to play the game during this recession.
Even the government subsidies are being cut now. For the data.
