They are still out of work.
and deserve to be.
@tll+1jC3xACE "I think, as far as layoffs go, this seems to be communicated humanely and is decent." Why? Because he said he was sorry? They are still out of work.
87000 - 11000. Still long ways to go. Given the advertising revenue is collapsing, I see more cuts coming but might be done quietly like how MSFT does.

At Twitter I was almost rooting to be laid off after working on a pet project for Elon on insanely long nearly sleepless days
Lol the guy owned the company for like a week. This is either a larp or you’re so lazy and entitled that you’ll likely end up living in a box by middle age.
Even with generous severance, this still sucks for Meta employees. At Twitter I was almost rooting to be laid off after working on a pet project for Elon on insanely long nearly sleepless days and it STILL felt humiliating to get laid off. I start every day angrily asking “But why me?”
Partly Mark put them in this spot with his Metaverse bet, but it’s also a cr-p macro environment across ads-businesses anyway, and so I think, as far as layoffs go, this seems to be communicated humanely and is decent.
